The REDARC 10A Five-Circuit Compact Trailer Lighting Reducer provides a cost-effective solution for towing a 12V trailer behind a 12V truck, with additional reversing-lamp circuit. The 12V circuits can light brake, tail, and indicators on a trailer when towed behind a 24V vehicle. The 12V RMS signal the VRMREV generates is suitable for use with multiple trailer applications with a large amount of incandescent lamps and LEDs. It is constructed from the latest surface-mount technology and is suitable for installations exposed to the elements (e.g. on the chassis rail).

REDARC Trailer Lighting Reducers operate from a nominal 24DV electrical system, providing four 12V RMS output circuits for trailer lighting - the 'REV' models have an additional reversing-lamp circuit. They feature small, light construction, are 95% efficient, short-circuit protection, and don't interfere with radio signals. The Lighting Reducers are perfect if you need radio noise to be absolutely minimal to avoid interference with sensitive CB and HF receivers.

INSTALLATION
The converter should be mounted in a cool, protected location. The heatsink may be either earthed or insulated from chassis without affecting operation.

PROTECTION
The internal electrical components are protected against the large transient voltages often present on the 24V supply in mobile electrical systems. a fast-acting sensor monitors output current to limit it if individual circuits in the reducer are overloaded, or in the event of output short circuits.
